Yuehu Bridge, formerly known as the Fourth Jianghan Bridge, is a river-crossing passage connecting Hanyang District and Qiaokou District in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. It forms an integral part of the main urban arterial roads in western Wuhan. The government has undertaken expansion and renovation of the existing bridge, incorporating nighttime lighting design to imbue this single-tower cable-stayed bridge with a grand and powerful presence, conveying a landscape vision that reflects Wuhan's cultural characteristics.
The lighting design for this illumination project adopts the concept of "Light of the Han River—Dialogue Between Water and Moonlight," with water-blue light and white moonlight highlighting the unique spirit of Wuhan as a city of bridges. Among these, the specially calibrated water-blue hue represents the beautiful vision of clear waters and blue skies, while the pure white moonlight symbolizes the land of white clouds and yellow cranes, a reference to Wuhan's poetic imagery. StrongLED Lighting System provided GP1C square ultra-high-power floodlights for the Yuehu Bridge lighting project. These lights are primarily used on the two main towers and the cable-stayed surfaces, with their ultra-bright projection allowing the bridge to stand out prominently against the bustling urban backdrop.
