Qingdao Chongqing Road Interchange

2026.1.6 BRIDGE LIGHTING

The Chongqing Road Interchange is located in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China, at the intersection of Chongqing Road and the Jiaozhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge elevated road. It serves as one of the four key junctions of the Jiaozhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge connection project (elevated road).

The design of the Chongqing Road Interchange features full connectivity, allowing direct access from one direction to the other three directions without the need for detours. Its completion and opening to traffic effectively divert the massive flow of vehicles from both Chongqing Road and the Cross-Sea Bridge elevated road—two major urban arteries—enabling rapid circulation in all directions and improving operational efficiency.

The Chongqing Road Interchange consists of five levels, standing 40 meters high. The lighting enhancement project adopts an illumination approach that combines points, lines, and surfaces, as well as dynamic and static elements, highlighting the bridge's grandeur and magnificence.
